Well my Maschine and akai I’m selling to the homie. It’s nice to have as back up more so for others to use

Yeah bro I’ve had the Push for a month now and fell in love with it from jump. I was already in love with Maschine but I f*** wit this more cus it flows right into Ableton perfectly

If you’re looking to play chords and melodies then def get a keyboard. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I use to have a $60 m audio joint

And if you like playing drums and your samples on pads then Push 2 is a great option BUT only if you using Ableton. I don’t believe it works with other DAWs. If you using something else then get a Maschine

what do you think made you switch/ what's better?

Honestly Ableton did a 90 day trial so during this quarantine i was thinking f*** it lemme try it out because a few users on here was telling me about it and this DJ Dahi interview sold me on it

First thing I like is the Clip session and Arrangement session. That’s huge cus basically I can just come up wit multiple ideas in the clip session and move on and then arrange it when I’m ready to complete the beat. It’s like a sketch pad

There’s a little info window at the bottom where when you highlight over different sections with your mouse it tells you what it is. BUT you can edit the information and put ya own text. So I’ll put things like shortcuts for the keyboard and also mixing notes I’ve been learning

The warp mode on here is dope. Which makes it super easy to make my samples match whatever BPM I’m working in. Something I never did in Logic or Maschine

It’s alotta s*** bro honestly. If u do decide on that I would skip Maschine and just get push to go along with it. My Maschine doesn’t work that good with Ableton that’s why I’m selling it

Also Ableton has this feature called “capture”

Say you pull up a VST and you’re playing around on the keys and end up playing something that sounds good, but you wasn’t recording. You can click this “capture” button and it will bring in the notes you just played because the DAW remembers every note you play even if you don’t hit record

I prolly use that feature with every beat and it takes away the pressure of pressing record and then trying hard to lay s*** right. It allows you to just be free and intuitive
