I'm the OP of the Solar Power thread and the numbers have been depressing since she dropped the album, people weren't even feeling the singles, looks like people genuinely don't care anymore and I don't blame them, the album was nothing

Album was made for hipster playlist placement and nothing more. Her previous two albums tried to reflect her experience in life but this just felt like a poor LDR album

It’s important to mention precisely how much the world has changed even compared to when melodrama came out. She hasn’t expanded her niche so it’s fair to assume she still has the same amount of fans as when her debut came out. Music is digested at a rate faster than prior imaginable and if you aren’t appealing to the broadest audience possible, you might as well not be considered any different than any rando in their bedroom.

They went real quiet with this album obviously cause its not good. But even then you'd expect a few discussions about it considering how hyped up she was on here

rightfully so, also sp is rly overhated even if it is a disappointment
