Best city in the US bar none. Even the Chicagoland suburbs are good once you start up a family (for the most part).

Literally did that yesterday lmfaooooo. Got some hot chocolate from a place called stans. Tested out the train cause im not getting another car, walked around searching for apartments for rent, went to a dispensary, ate some Brazilian food in oak park.
Sat down in silence and listened to the train go by and realized yea, this is it. and i didnt even do any tourist trap stuff. The place is just fire itself and the food is incredible. Its what i thought houston was

You just have to adjust to the winter (which haven’t been nearly as bad as the past, blame climate change) & also it is pretty segregated still compared to cities like LA or NYC but the quality of life is so much better
