i feel like subconscious/conscious racism does play a role in it, as rap music is commonly consciously/unconsciously thought of in media as some sort of inferior minority art form that is inherently "ghetto" and "dumb/unintellectual", although I feel it is changing with the times, it is still there and we are sadly not at the level of shown respect other genres have really within the mainstream, in terms of artistic value.

everything after Road to Perdition with the exception of Run & Hide seems to still be unfinished on this version of the album tbh. Rough Love in particular sounds... rly rough tbh. That and KnightsBridge might be skippers for me tbh :/

the gb started out small but then it grew and grew as it was being promoted around places like here and coli/bx, the response has been massively successful so it got them rolling again
