For Your Pleasure is a very dark sounding album but never seems to justify its atmosphere. The middle section of If There Is Something on the debut and A Song For Europe on Stranded feel like more fully realized examples of the mood that For Your Pleasure is trying to capture. It’s consistent but never transcendent if that makes sense.
