forums in general are healthier than social media

and even though i'm not really on social media I'm still up to date with cultural things via this site

but i think it also heavily depends on where you spend your time on here because some sections incentivize trolling/shitposting to the point where it's just as bad as twitter

I feel like people ignore the toxicness of this site because they love the idea of them being able to say bold stuff without being held accountable by peers since it’s anonymous. You can’t be on twitter or Facebook and think it’s toxic and then come on here and act like it’s sweet lol. This site is one of the most toxic sites I’ve ever been on. You can’t even defend women without being talked down on, no matter how wrong niggas are. The people that doesn’t recognize how problematic this place is are crazy.

At the same time people here aren't as hesitant to bully or act toxic towards someone over trivial matters since they're hiding behind a screen. It's really a double-edged sword, personally the amount of bullying or whatever I see on Instagram is NOTHING compared to here
