WARNING: This is a LONG, RIGOROUS game that requires PATIENCE AND DEDICATION. If you choose to play, JUDGE OR LABEL OWNER, commit to playing the WHOLE WAY THROUGH. If you cannot commit AT LEAST 2 MONTHS to this game, please do not play. You will be taking a spot away from somebody who is actually willing to be active and participate. Label Owners and Judges should view this thread multiple times per day throughout this game. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT ANY OF THE AUCTION DAYS WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, YOU WILL BE DROPPED AND REPLACED IMMEDIATELY.

In this game, get fake money, bid on real artists (and producers) and then create tracklists (albums) for the artists on your label! Judges will decide the winner! To join, say IN and specify if you want to have a label or judge!

    1. To start, label players will PM me 3 artists, 3 producers, and the name of their label. Messages on KTT2 work now but you need to follow each other, so obviously follow me if you're gonna play as a label. These artists will be auctioned off. There will be a mixture of auction rounds, PM rounds, package rounds and blind auctions.

    2. Everyone will start with $500M. Once an artist/producer is won, you can return the artist after the current draft day ends at a 75% sell back rate.

    3. There will be no cap on any artist, but you CANNOT raise bids by more than $30M per bid. (min. increment is set at $5M). Bidding starts at $10M for in thread auctions.

    4. Any artist that has multiple talents can be used in any manner so long as you have signed the artist to your label.

    5. Artist features & production credits can be sold to other players or traded in exchange for other features.

    6. After the auction phase, we will enter a freebie draft. Everyone will PM me a number between 1-100 and the person closest to my number will have the first pick in the draft. There will be 6 rounds and you will chose up to 6 artists of your choice that haven't already been auctioned off. The draft will be snake style.
    1st Round (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) 2nd round (12, 11, 10, 9, etc.), etc.

    7. Periodically throughout the game, labels will get to buy unclaimed artists at $5M each (five at a time).

    8. After the draft, players will have time to get features and start creating their albums. You'll be judged on 2 solo albums, 1 collaborative album with another label and 1 group/label/legacy album. EACH ALBUM MUST HAVE A TRACKLIST.

    9. Album covers are a must, but they won't have any significant effect on the final score, (not everyone is a photoshop master) and it's purely for aesthetics. (be sure to include a dope album cover though!!!)

    10. Commercial Success: After each round, depending on which of your artists drops an album, you will be rewarded money to buy more artists, features, and production (example: A Kanye West album will probably earn you $30M while a Raury album will probably earn you $1M) This has no effect on your album rating, but rewards people who go out to get the A-List artists. The artist, production, features, and stand-out songs will all factor into how much money you will receive.

    11. REMINDER: Albums turned in past the due date will be labeled as LATE and receive a deduction of 0.5 points per day in final score.

    12. NEW RULE The Legacy Album is a new feature which hasn't been done before afaik. Essentially, after Round 2, we will do a draft with the order being the reverse rankings. All labels will choose 1 dead artist from any era. For the last album, you can either create a regular label album (in which you cannot use your dead artist) or you have the option of making a posthumous legacy album. This album must use features/production ONLY from your label, so no help from other labels.

All results will be added at the end (mario kart style) to determine the winner.

We need at least 8 labels but I will cap it at 14 and at least 5 judges.

Judges: You don't need to be nearly as active as the label players. But please don't sign up if you're not willing to read. Most albums will have write-ups to go along with them, some short but some very long. You will ended up scoring AT LEAST 28 albums and at most 49 albums. I will @ you after each round when you are needed, but feel free to be present for the draft as it's usually fun. You will judge which albums are better (on a rating out of 10) based on quality, originality, use of features/production, and creativity. Need active, open minded judges. There will be no resubmitting of scores once they have been posted.
