it's not that Kendrick's a pushover. it's the fact that this is Lil F***ing Wayne. Prime Wayne had it all. The pen, the sales, the impact. He has had a more legendary run than Kendrick. I'm 99% sure that Wayne would've won if only ppl who experienced both at their prime were allowed to vote

i really just think Tha Carter 3 should have been emphasized. a lot of Wayne stans have a bit of disdain for that album because a lot of people dismissed that features and mixtape era Wayne (i did too at certain points, i kept up but got weak knees and started doubting lol don't judge me). but the whole time Wayne stans were like "there's this guy and he's doing legendary s***".

when Tha Carter 3 dropped so many people jumped on Wayne, it kinda felt like the stans didn't really get the credit they deserved for sticking with him through all the experiments.

he put in the work. holy s*** did he put in the work. he was everywhere, dropping or being featured on some s*** and killing it too every other week. those were the legs which Tha Carter 3 stood on.

as huge as Wayne was, you still gotta tell the story right, even if it's in the "wrong" order (i.e. saving the mixtape cuts for later on). otherwise you get a VZ like this.
