i get hating em one way or another for being corny or for his recent output (esp. revival) but as far as his recent record goes this is about as good as its gonna get from him. he still has some issues with trying to make horrible pop for no reason (Those Kinda Nights, Leaving Heaven), as well as songs that straddle the line of pulp corniness (Stepdad), but making songs like You Gon' Learn or Godzilla with features from actual rappers (Q-Tip, etc.) and people like Paak and Don Toliver is really a massive improvement over his past output and shows he's been listening to criticism.
he's still kind of grating sometimes with his robotic choppy flow or with bad punchlines but overall I think it's probably the best em album we're gonna get post-prime. i'd probably score it around a 5-6 or so overall

I think it's an enjoyable project overall and definitely a step in the right direction for Em... Has some of the best songs he made since Eminem Show imo... tho wish the horror themes and the Hitchcock skits were more consistent throughout the project. 6.5/10
