idk i just got burned out of it

my little cousin feels the same way about him with the aspiring to be great

maybe it’s because i take everything so serious that’s why i always was a fan of tyler as a producer more than him as a fully realized artist. for some reason i just can’t get behind the ridiculousness of the lyrics sometimes. it just don’t hit for me at best, makes me roll my eyes at worst

i listened to odd future for so long but never took tyler seriously until cherry bomb dropped honestly. it took me a while to appreciate him outside one or two songs.

i think that’s why earl resonate with me so hard bc it’s dead depression raps, and that nigga take life too seriously and smoke too much he just like me fr locs on the way 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

ppl clown tyler for telling ppl to travel/do s*** etc but those messages have had such a big impact on me over the years and I think he's telling younger ppl s*** they need to hear

what u said about it feeling crowded is super valid, like I just relistened to Pilot (one of my favs on there) and there's legit so much s*** going on but the fact that the execution is kinda sloppy adds so much for me its crazy

Honestly Goblin is still my favorite for its amateurish rough around the edges quality. I like how juvenile and provocative it is but at the same time shows a genuine vulnerability and sense of creative energy buried underneath it. There’s all these little glimmers throughout it that show what he would eventually become but it’s wrapped up in this carnival ride like nightmare aesthetic of dread and misery. Flower Boy a close second tho.
