Streamers being the new rappers is an interesting take

Anyone who feels like streamers replaced rappers for them, don't care about hip hop and the artistic side of it

I don’t watch streamers but who was the last young rapper to have that same effect with the youth on a mainstream level. Only Youngboy and maybe cari and Uzi. I say maybe for them because they came out almost 10 years ago at this point

They're just nothing like rappers. There's been different type of entertainers. Were YouTubers and vine stars the new rappers in the 2010s? No even though they had a huge effect on the youth.

Him comparing it to streamers sharing parts of their lives? Just suggests it's for rap listeners who are only there for the antics and the rapper's image.

YouTubers and vine stars in like 2013 didn’t have that same place that twitch niggas like Kai Cenat have to the American youth

Im an opium fan since the beginning but they are only a tier above slayworld when they were at their peak.

Youngboy was doing 100k plus multiple times and putting up more streams than every rapper except Drake. He had the internet niggas, hood niggas, suburbs and women all fw him.

No young rapper has been able to get on that type of s*** after him

  • Oct 19, 2023

Honestly I don’t care about the mainstream anymore. It’s only spawned a bunch of little hype beast white kids that don’t give a f*** about hip hop

When it dies the underground is just gonna get stronger

Say what you will about Swifties or Drake stans or Kanye stans or K-Pop stans but at least the people they have a weird parasocial relationship at least make music. Streamers can amass a cult of millions of iPad kids by just screaming in front of their computer while a YouTube video plays in the background

Yeah I never understood the streaming culture. Even the ones that play games. Was never my thing
