Would've made more sense if it was a contemporary of Stevie. I consider Stevie as a major artist of the 60s and 70s. Prince was 80s and 90s. Wouldn't it make more way more sense for it to be Stevie vz Marvin?

I forget sometimes that the running theme of KTTVZ battles is that they are a music hipster/contrarian's wet dream...

I'd still say Stevie has a large wealth of hit songs that are better than a lot of other artists hit songs. But I guess for a lot of people with these battles it's bigger more than better.
