I remember these being the first songs I listened to when I was introduced to DMX. Was maybe 4 or 5 at the time, and I had an older cousin showing me the CD. It looks cool and seeing the word "hell" so brazenly was big for me. Again being a child "hell" was a bad word. My mom didn't like me listening to rap at a young age, so my cousin put those two songs on saying "It's okay because he's talking to god". It was probably that moment then and there when I learned there's way more to rap than what people say about it.

When I was younger I thought people loved DMX because he was loud and in your face. Of course he was that, but he was just so much more. I'm glad that I got this proper introduction to him at a young age.

So we up early rearranging and updating playlists this morning. Here's a playlist of nonstop east coast hits from the 90s to early 2000s. Perfect for putting on shuffle. Comes in at about 7hrs and there's still so much that can be added. Got some soca and dancehall tracks to throw into the mix as well.

The main inspirations for this playlist, and I am definitely about to age myself with these mentions, were 98.7 Kiss FM (RIP), 107.5 WBLS, Power 105.1, and Hot 97.1. All the New York radio stations that I was listening to on car rides throughout the city, or just by walking around and hearing people driving through blasting music out their cars in my youth.

Really crazy how slept on Devin the Dude is on KTT, but I shouldn't be that surprised as he always been a dude who just keeps it chill and stays lowkey. Think he has gladly accepted his niche and just does what he does best and that's write/rap.

Oddly enough though he's been featured on a lot of big artists' tracks and he also has some big artists featured on his albums and mixtapes. Cool to see that even though he might be slept on to others, the industry knows what's up and he gets major respect

I feel you but I'm just tired of some mods d*** eating. Shoutout Safe, Nuja, Sabsad, Electric, and S though I'm cool with them and if they gotta mute me or lock my threads they at least give me a reason which is honestly all I ask for.

Also music sxn really gets cancerous and I'm tired of interacting with a lot of users these days cause they acting like some hoes more than ever. So pretty much I get what I care to get out of music sxn in my own thread. Feel like that makes sense

Music sxn been down astronomic these days, as much as og ktt back in the days There should be a sub section for user threads much more action

On god b s*** is just getting corny af now. I used to go into music sxn not taking it seriously but it's really some lame ass niggas who just live to argue and got something slick to say.

I feel like there should be a sub section too but I doubt that's ever gonna be made because that might take away overall traffic to music sxn. End of the day S gotta do what he gotta do to keep people coming to the site. I know for sure it's some users who should've been banned long ago, but their posts and threads get so much interaction that if you remove them it leads to less overall engagement in music sxn. Definitely a weird balance to maintain.

If Jay Cutler was here he would've banned everyone because he was having a bad day I think it's ok like how it is, people control themselves more than how they used in og ktt
