barbie got me wanting to rewatch this, probably the perfect ending to any romcom/musical i have ever seen. Chazelle was in his f***ing bag making this movie
Eh it's easiy Chazelle weakest.
A white man explaining what Jazz is to a black man will never not be amusing in a weirdly, tragic way and seemed like some 4chan user wrote that scene.

the argument scene in the last half of the movie is quite masterful. unbelievable how realistic that dialogue is

Always loved the writing when he drives to her town and tells her she got the audition too
The way she says she’s not going, that she’ll never make it and he just says ‘stop being a baby, you’re crying like a baby’ is so realistic too.

Damn going through the thread you always watching this s***
real asf

lmaooo this last rewatch has just been prolonged, keep tapping into it lol. just watched that scene, utter gold. how they get this far into the movie and tricking, so to speak, the viewer into thinking they’ll end up with each other is insane lol
bruh there’s a piano in the main lobby of this massive office space i work in and people always playing the end theme to this song putting me in my feels lmao
This movie deserved Best Picture over Moonlight and I'm tired of pretending it didn't
Moonlight was depressing af. Never been chilling with a bad b**** and she said "hey wanna watch Moonlight?"
Even watched Moonlight with my gay boul and he was like "Good movie but I never wanna watch that again."
Meanwhile La La Land is a universal classic that inspires love life an creativity. F*** OUTTA HERE
LA LA LAND SUPREMACY
I wish Damian was directing but new music from him
https://twitter.com/discussingfilm/status/1750262361095643143also i'm not a huge Vaughn head but him directing musical numbers is potentially gonna slap. and Chizelle writing another musical?
