First, I’d like to say RIP Nip and Drakeo

But after seeing Tyler, Vince, and Kendrick all drop gems, I must say that LA rap reigns over everybody else…more specifically cities as prominent as Chicago and Atlanta (in terms of producing high quality rap music). I’d go as far as to say that LA should be the mecca in rap music.

Their s*** isn’t one dimensional and it’s literally a pool of different — but the same time — great rappers/rap artists.

And the list continues. It’s so baffling to see LA not get the respect they deserve among the rap community.

I can’t listen to la rap. The beats are too bouncy/outdated and the flows are just not fun to listen to

I get “bouncy” but outdated..I don’t see how? If anything (imo) they offer a lot more, production wise, than other cities.

You’re talking about a specific version of LA rap pretty sure @op is talking about LA rappers as a whole

Kendrick and Tyler are my favorite rappers so i have to agree but they dont come to mind when I think of LA rap for some reason

Their rap scene just becomes unfair when you include their catalog with everyone else in the city.
