That whole new age space has a bunch of overlap with occult practices. Now that’s cool and all it it’s just for entertainment/information out of interest, but since these books and stuff by the likes of Crowley or the Golden Dawn disciples are PURPOSEFULLY written to confuse you, in combination with it touching on some out there stuff, it can be harmful if you just jump into that without any caution or people around you to keep you grounded
No I’m not saying just checking a horoscope or w/e is dangerous in itself, just that it shares a space full of deceptive con people and wacky practices. And I know the type of people that generally get into these new age things, they are usually too open minded and trust too easily

I said that the teachings of religions and belief in a creator who eventually judges you helps me be even more aware of things in my day to day life that function as a support system

Like I said something basic like tarot cards or astrology signs aren’t dangerous by default. But you can’t ignore the fact that occultism can be a dangerous path. If you don’t believe that the prominent writers of occult literature purposefully sometimes steer you in the wrong directions then you don’t know what you’re talking about. Because that’s pretty much the first thing you learn when coming in contact with those works
