there's another part about music in general we should consider when talkin about any artist/album and that is how each individual feels about it and the headspace each listener is in
for example...when I was listening to Lust For Life it was all I played all summer after coming home from the beach and it was the perfect bop along with great memories
BTD was what got me into her music and even influenced my sense of style and even though I've overplayed it to the point of no return it's still one of my fav albums oat
Of course. Personal opinion/feeling trumps all n that’s all that really matters.
NFR
UV
LFL
Honeymoon
BTD
interesting
what makes you put BTD so low? was that your intro to lana?
How to disappear is so f***ing good
damn
any songs you like off NFR or a complete miss for you?
Venice b****
f*** it i love you
hope is a dangerous thing
It is
Entire album should’ve had that sound
I love when she stutters on the 't' then laughs manically. some freaky s***
The absolute squeaming of the guitar
I legit wasn’t expecting that to come after Mariners Apartment so when I saw 9 minutes I was like huh.
And then it just got better and better
Yeah I felt like it would've staled out but it kept progressing
wtf
BtD had so many songs which could be commercial friendly.
Always surprised me they didn’t use Dark Paradise earlier or Radio.
Lana is the ONLY thing that could make me feel patriotic
sometimes i hate this country, but whenever i listen to lana and bruce springsteen i feel incredibly patriotic
edit: and the beach boys
that was originally my least favorite on that album, but man, it grew to become one of my favorites as well. i know the exact feeling you're talking about
i love it!
This is by far, my favorite and a top 5 lana song for me as well.
It almost feels like a last hurrah from the golden era
the cheerleader chants in the chorus gives real born to die vibes

I need to go re-listen to LFL right now
the album was originally intended to go deeper in that style, so imagine how bummed out i was when it stagnated halfway through with typical sadgirl lana? :( i hate the fact that i listened so much to the singles before the release of the album. it spoiled things for me and had my expectations way too high
I don't play leaks or singles before a rollout that much because it always spoils the album for me, especially when you skip the album cuts that sound just as good but you just wanna hear s*** similar to the singles.
That happened to me with Heaven to a Tortured Mind by Yves Tumor, I overplayed those singles and now I can barely play the album
she was really excited about that White Dress song in interviews. seeing it as the intro
when i heard " goddamn manchild..." and the following lines for the first time i was shook. COCC OTW!!!
Diet Mountain Dew could have be a Royals before Royals
interesting

Dumb peeve but I never liked her voice on BTD.
First got into Lana when she dropped LFL but it came and went for me ngl til summer 2019 and I fell in love with her whole discog (lol except btd). I just love the way her music paints California 🥺

i should've learned from my experience with mbdtf. i used to play the f*** out of the good friday songs and by the time the album came out i felt like i heard half of it and thew freshness wasn't there at all. i was so bummed out. to this day that album isn't even in my top 5 ye albums
NFR
Ultraviolence
BTD
Honeymoon
LFL
yeah i think this is it for me. if she cut LFL to like 12 tracks it would be stronger than Honeymoon maybe

got you, that's pleasant
i hope you enjoy this new project

Speaking of which.....Heroin was the last song I listened while on actual heroin and it felt like me saying my final goodbyes to that piece of s***
I mentioned the sense of style on an earlier post and the BTD era was when I gave up on baggy clothes and went full on hipster.
might sound silly and cringe but the music we love grows along with us
Radio is a HIT. A HIT
Sneaky contender to be top 10 Lana tbh

That sucks
I would just keep replaying MBDTF I get it. My first Kanye rollout I was around for was Yeezus nd it was crazy
didn't listen to MBDTF till months after
