New Lana album with that warm mahogany wood floor, eyes glazed over, smelling like sweet bourbon, moody jazz night vibe.
Still need more sax but the horns, piano and strings pull like
glad she took my advice to keep it loose and thank god never go back to that awful trap dabble.

we'll never know why she chose to include The Trio (besides that her ex made the beat) but she really needs to completely phase it out of her sound. her fans want her to keep going in that direction like she's not a white woman in her mid-30s. let her sing her piano ballads and have her orchestral arrangements please

Im high key hoping her next album has a live band backing her and she ditches the verse/chorus format. She has the talent vocally to experiment and dig deeper with instrumentation.
bring out a damn saxophone damn it

that woman loves to write a pretty, sugary melody lol idk if we'll see her go full Hejira just yet
she's experimenting more and more with her voice though, White Dress and Dealer are highlights in her catalog

what the f*** is the trio?
This album is truly amazing. Been listening all day. When she dropped the 3 singles I wasn‘t really feeling them and only listened once, now I f***ing love all of them. Not sure what was wrong with my ears back then
Amazing album.
Since she went fully into this more organic sound she can't miss. One incredible song after another

Better than COCC, tbh. I like the arrangements on this one more and her vocals are much more prominent, a good example is 'Dealer' –– could've went without the guest although. Btw, does this album feel sorta compressed on Spotify for some songs, like Wildflower Wildfire?
Honestly, after this year I want her to experiment more, everyone loves when she does that. Not that I hate the piano ballads and sparse instrumentation, but she ran it back twice this year, might as well make another NFR/Ultraviolence/Honeymoon pls🥺
Ngl off first listen the only song I really liked was Arcadia everything else just kinda blended in together. Might have to give it another spin soon. Wondering if she has another NFR tier album in her

100% she does. Ultraviolence was well received by her core fans and touted as her best work to date, and the press liked it, then she dropped 2 polarizing albums for her fans and the media then dropped NFR which was touted as her masterpiece.
The problem is she's sticking to piano ballads and minimal instrumentation leads, her production on NFR was much more bombastic.

Ya I agree like as much as I do enjoy these piano ballads and min instrumentation leads, having a whole album full of them makes it hard for me to sit through.
I feel like I would have to sit and pay more attention to her lyricism to appreciate these songs and who knows maybe that was her intention with releasing these type of albums back to back.
