providerdo you think that's more a result of laziness/stagnation? or just that she's leading a more authentic career now that she's established and can really focus on what she wants to do? you said it yourself how her writing has consistently progressed. she's doing poetry, writing novels. i think she sacrificed the glitz and glam to really dig deep into her artistry and she's probably better (artistcally and mentally) for it. at least's that how i see it.
i like the way you put it. you might be right. she's definitely focused on the music and not the image anymore. however, her production is far scaled back than what it was and some people feel like the music has taken a big hit because of it, but she has also gained some fans that were never into the melodrama and cinematic grandeur of her past music

back then aesthetic was everything, especially during the tumblr era that she dominated. she's getting older, fatter and isn't as hung up on glamour and glitz anymore. you usually see that with aging artists.
