I’m always skeptical with reboots for this reason. They’ll use the name and cultural capital of a franchise to push a new film so it won’t flop but when you look at them compared to the OGs they are only loosely or vaguely connected. You’re better off just doing an anthology with different actors. But they brought back the big names so it doesn’t flop as well. Star Wars situation again.

100% same exact situation or even David Lynch Dune but this is even worse cause its the Og director too Im truly confused and kinda disappointed of why they went that route maybe she has a whole different view on the Matrix.
Or WB is only willing to make this movie with cerain guarantee of appealing to a larger audience.Either yea this a let down

I was super skeptical when they announced Matrix 4 a while ago but I convinced myself nah its Lana she will hold it down and then teaser now this

Do I wish Lilly , Laurence , Hugo , bill Pope , composer were bsck too and it was filmed in Chicago? Of course I do but imma give it a chance . 20$ for one imax ticket after 20 years of no matrix isn’t a huge loss
