The film was never shy with green, it did always lean to green especially in darker scenes but not to the extent that most people think it was. It was originally more warm and natural

Awhile back on Twitter there was a video of the open matte version of the trailer and it’s pretty striking how heavily the green filter was used in the sequels and newer editions of 1 compared to the original release. This is the twitter thread on it
