But no part of this is meant to cater to the average person. If they were catering to all the past movies have been 20 years later when the story in 3 whether people liked it or not was complete wouldn't that be a cash grab? I know off announcement of movie everyone had their own ideas of leather, many guns, straight up sexy action, zion but time has passed both in reality and much more time in the movie as you can see with niobe.

What else was there to say or do in the same exact style they had done before including 2 back to back movies. All of the movies they dealt with behind the scenes issues, oracles dying, actors giving them death threats, press outting them as trans, depression.

S*** even this nearly got cancelled due to covid delays. Not everything has to be for everyone. Even if this was what everyone wanted they would compare it to John Wick and be able to watch it free on HBO MAX lol or pirated online day 1. Which doesnt in anyway help the movie

So why complain when its basically gonna be free to watch day 1

But we know why Bill Pope likely didn't come back. He doesnt like the many shots and long shots style lana adapted from Kubrick which can likely be annoying but hope it captures some cool moments in here. Again I am someone that can enjoy something for what it is while understanding the past

You have to agree it is to cater to a new generation of people post 2000s to likr the Matrix 4

Using most of well known series actors or actors from super hero films

With a way more family friendly aesthetic dropping around Christmas time

nah its mainly Sense8 cast lol. That is more Lana wanted them to eat because Sense8 was supposed to be like 5 seasons and had to rush through 3 or so. The John Wick series existing and John Wick action being what a lot of people would want from Matrix 4 and having that first fishburne reteam up took a lot of the beats people would want from this. Combined with bill pope

1. Lawrence Fishburne rumors of wanting more money even for sequels or tough on set at times. As well as Yahya Morpheus isnt the same Morpheus we been over this. There is no real continuation for Morpheus as he was in Matrix 4 so many years in the future from where we were. When he served as a Magical Negro character in the first one. Neo learned free will and archival footage will be used quite a lot

2. Hugo Weaving Schedule conflict that they should have worked out,but again I think there is very few if any story that could be written unless they really went all in on smith attempting to find love too and be human. That would top Revolutions ending or fights in anyway when the actors are again 20 years older this isnt tom cruise and you want them doing their own stunts or not too many stunt doubles

3. Bill Pope didnt like sequels process of filming the movies back to back or so many cuts and long shots he has cursed their obsession with kubrick on occassion

4. Don Davis isnt making soundtracks as much as he used to. If he were to do it would anyone really want anything too diferent than original sountrack. I believe he actually still conducts Matrix symphony and there is one July 2022 where they play orchestra while showing the movie

Did y'all expect gratuitious s***or violence from a Matrix 4 before it was even announced? Revolutions was very much leaning away from an audience needing that to be engrossed

If you ask an average person what made the Matrix film so appealing to them they would say its the bad ass aesthetics, costumes and cool fight scenes. The trailers they've shown has none of it. People can talk about how we have to look deeper and the hidden meaning but that has never been the main appeal in the Matrix films. It was just the icing on the cake.

Lilly I dont really count. cause as I have said multiple times Lilly wasnt even on final season or finale of sense8 lilly has been doing her own thing for past few years and is doing a comedy on showtime. Lilly choose to grieve for parents differently than Lana. They are still both close. Again the movie will be Meta cause Kenau not even sold on NFt. If you watch the tech demo gameplay they joke about needing sexy action too for MARKETING.
