WB was always going to make a Matrix sequel blah blah blah I personally don't want them to make another Matrix sequel. They've said everything they wanted to say in the franchise. I'd rather see another big budget original project. I'd even prefer a Jupiter Ascending sequel.

I work under wb and yes wb was always going to do another matrix thats the point of resurrections that the fictional characters and creator themselves can’t escape capitalism , being misused by an Andrew Tate red pilled that updates or changes or an actual challenging to the audience would get them death threats

fam why are you explaining Resurrections to me lol I get the movie, I stan the movie - I don't even find that aspect of the movie super interesting anymore and think it's overstated. Lana getting to re-explore the franchise's themes of identity in a way that resonates with trans & queer people in general without being so on the nose or in line with the new labeling of the series being an intentional trans allegory is what resonates with me.
