I'm not sure how much blame I can put on the kids but I'm definitely gonna teach my son to intervene when it deescalates from a fight into an attack.

This situation is pretty strange. Like putting the question of why none of the students intervened aside for a sec, it's weird how nonchalant they were about a fight/beating breaking out in front of them. A fight always got everyone's full attention when I was in school, but these kids are barely looking, then turning around to continue schoolwork and s***. Only one person besides the teacher even reacting to the what's happening. Bizarre situation

Absolutely. In school my dad wouldn't ever have tolerated me being the aggressor. S*** even when I fought in defense of myself, he made sure my suspension wasn't no vacation regardless of the situation. Instilled in me to defend myself always, but to avoid a fight altogether if I'm able, and don't be the guy picking fights.

Most kids don’t realize how sensitive the head is. Grew up fighting in the ring and outside of it. Most of the fights I was involved in never led to beating the s*** out of someone when they are already unconscious and DEFENSELESS, especially pounding tf out of their head. It’s never been that worth it. Fair ones, get a few hits in and vice versa and that’s it.
