a treasure
Listened to this from front to back for the first time in a while on my way home from work yesterday
Held up for me but I know they’re not for everyone. Listened to the sophomore album in its entirety a few days ago and didn’t hate the production as much as I used to. I’ll forgive Ric Ocasek for that one but it still doesn’t make up for Rock for Light.

ive said before that i always preferred the 2nd album over this, mostly because the production drastically sounded better for me.

I think the shift in sound between the first and second albums was too jarring for me initially but I love the way the drum machine sounds on the second one now and I appreciate the more complex song arrangements.

Yeah, super weird pairing but they kept working with him so clearly they got along swimmingly! He got the gig for the second record because the label wanted him to help make them into a disco band. Thankfully he took the band’s side artistically and just got Martin Rev nicer equipment and helped them make the record they wanted to make.

Slowthai - TYRON
Heavy on my rotation, the first and second half division is kinda obvious concept but it's effective, the bangers bang hard (I prefer the first half) and the second more introspective half is more "indie" and unlike anything I heard Slowthai do before, powerful stuff
Fav tracks: NHS, MAZZA, PLAY WITH FIRE, TERMS
