I can tell you a man of fine taste without having anyone to guide you if you pick on Columbia and Slide Away upon first listen, without reading anything, they are among the best Oasis gems, Slide Away especially means a lot to me personally but it also a fan favorite

But yeah man, Rock’n’roll Star like what a f***ing way to debut your first album holy s***

yeah i went in blind lmao, didn't even know if this was the album with wonderwall or if it's the next one, but yea slide away is beautiful man, probably my favorite from the whole album
gonna listen to the second one tomorrow (the one with wonderwall )

thanks for contributing to the death of my ignorance towards oasis

Nah thank you for diving into it without being biased from hate posts

Slide Away and Columbia are def my top songs but all the other ones you named are blassics

The second one is as good, more pop since they got the money and big production now where the first sounds more raw (but then that’s the same for most of the band history right lol) you got Wonderwall but also Don’t Look Back In Anger

Champagne Supernova is their masterpiece, goat closing track, making out to that song being played live by them with the girl you were chasing is goat s***, good times

There’s some other of my fav songs on it, Cast No Shadows is godly beautiful

aye if there's a acclaimed band out there that i haven't heard yet i mostly ignore the hate surrounding them and check them out for myself one after another, slowly but surely i check them all off my "to listen" list.

don't look back in anger is another one of those huge hits that i'm already familiar with. that and wonderwall on the same album

so after i'm done with the second one you wouldn't recommend to go further?

  • Jan 29, 2020

Galcher Lustwerk - Information. Really, really good.

  • Jan 29, 2020

    YG - My Krazy Life

Don’t Look Back In Anger is so amazing to experience live

Mmmh nah I’d say if by the second album you really f*** with it definitely go for The Masterplan, it’s a compilation of their b-sides from their two first albums by popular demand, it’s SO good it’s basically considered the official third album lmao

It even still inspires bands to try to recreate that, some songs on this will blow you away and give you an idea how untouchable they are and why they created a such wave

After that it’s hard to think of one Oasis album that will make you think it’ll be as instant as the first two, I like Be Here Now but it drags on forever lol maybe Don’t Believe The Truth?

But there’s always some gems still popping here and there, some of my fav songs ever by them are from one of their worst album

But yeah I’d say shoot for The Masterplan for sure and afterwards if you feel like it I think either Don’t Believe The Truth or Dig Out Your Soul are worth a shot, both have highs and lows but are the better of their catalogue post Morning Glory, their best highs and less offensive lows to put it that way
