just gonna have to ignore the racist s*** she was spewing out at times i guess lmao
She had the worst upbrining to be fair and plus I'm gonna assume people were racist around her while she grew up beleiving she was superior to minorities.
Gotta just focus on the music

I try not to let artists personal life get in the way of me enjoying their music.

it's probably the way to go, sometimes it depends on what kind of "wrong" thing they did or were accused of tho
but tbh, they're still human made after all so yea its def not a black and white thing, not as easy as that most of the times.

As long as it ain't rape or pedophilia I'll listen.

Didn’t know she was racist
That’s surprising considering how progressive ppl like Lou Reed and Warhol come off

i mean yea lou had accusations of racism as well iirc
but you can read her wikipedia for instance:
Nico was described by some friends and colleagues as racist. Her friend Danny Fields, the American journalist who helped her sign to Elektra Records, described her as "Nazi-esque", saying: "Every once in a while there'd be something about Jews and I'd be, 'But Nico, I'm Jewish,' and she was like 'Yes, yes, I don't mean you.' She had a definite Nordic Aryan streak, the belief that she was physically, spiritually and creatively superior." According to Fields, in the early 1970s, Nico attacked a mixed-race woman at the Chelsea Hotel with a smashed wine glass, saying "I hate black people". During a show in Berlin with Brian Eno and John Cale, the audience "hurled plastic seat cushions at the stage" after Nico performed the German national anthem "Deutschlandlied" including the first verse, omitted since 1945 for its nationalist associations.

loving this even more than the first one @pneumonia
José Gonzalez - Veneer
I've been revisiting this album so many times since it dropped in 2005. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this record.
felt a 6.1 on this one, the lows were pretty low but I thought the best tracks were bangers, Highlights: Mahogany, Piano Trap, Wayne's World, Wild Dogs
The Tonite Show w/ Curren$y and DJ Fresh - 5.1 (first impression)
Nothing that compelling about this album, honestly probably won't go back to it much after a couple listens. Spitta's voice gets lost on some tracks, but the beats are pretty funky. Some middy pack to throw on a summer time playlist. All About the Dough probably my favorite song.
