Hey, I just remembered.. you gotta give this Derek Bailey an ear.
One of the first free funk albums to really catch my interest this year. Need more!!
Leon has an amazing voice
Faves: C-Side, Conversion
Not sure how many stars yet but I love it! Funk is my mood rn 💖
first time listening to In My Lifetime Vol 1 last night. Some corny f***ing productions but the first song and the last 2 were great. Will need to listen again

Man that K & LB EP was amazing
Legitimately one of the best albums of the '10's. No skips on part 1. Mirrors still touches my damn soul man.. beautiful ass f***ing song
Imagine an entire JT album full of Blue Ocean Floor vibes.. f***
Blindness might be my favorite JT song & that's saying a lot because he has a multitude of classic & timeless songs. I can't believe he followed this undeniably classic project up with Man Of The Woods
9.5/10.

in good hands
top 5 album oty so far for me
finally I can speak on this!
I love the continuation from Swimming into this, wouldn't have asked the album to be in better hands than Jon Brion. The songs comprise of some of the most musically mature sounds in his discog.
Instruments >>> still need to find exactly who played what on the credits though
9/10
Best 3: I Can See; Woods; Once a Day

also love complicated
but i still prefer the once a day piano version he played on ig live way back when, that version was so much more raw and emotional but this album version is fine as well
also feel like hands doesn't really fit on the album or at least in the sequence it's set in
all in all an amazing album nonetheless
