I bet Francesco Rosi was a real gangster lol the opening sequence is so good
Was reading movie statistics & seen that the last two IT movies combined made over a billi at the box office So I decided to re watch the first film & besides Skarsgård's amazing performance, the movie seems like it's missing something but still solid overall. Can't wait for the super cut of both films together

'The Birth of a Nation' (1915)
Fascinating confederate view of the American civil war. I believe it's the first film portrayal of the KKK.
Birth of a Nation is infamous for being blatantly racist and pro confederacy. Interesting that this came out in 1915 forty years after the civil war and a hundred fifteen years ago today, but there are views in this film that people still believe in. Further, the propaganda in this film is reminiscent of the Nazi party, blaming the emancipation of black people for the downfall of America.
Long and intense one but definitely recommend for any of those history buffs out there.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer - 5.5/10? Gonna give it another watch soon. Felt like there was something there but I dunno what.
Spotlight - 7/10
There was a lot of people so it was kinda hard to keep track of who is who
