  • Alien 3.easily the best alien film. One of the most beautifully shot sci-fi films. Fincher was embedding some heavy stuff in the plot. Kind of like a music video movie, if that makes sense. Too many cooks worked on the screenplay, so it is a hodgepodge of many different and confusing minds.

Sigourney was almost out of her range here, but her lines were terrible.

The more I watch it, the more I appreciate the action sequences. Too many jumpcuts. Long shots would've helped.

Costume dept and makeup killed it.

Lack of character development due to schizophrenic screenplay is a weakness.
Film tries to be cerebral and a slasher. Succeeds way better than alien: covenant.

The more I watch it, the better it gets. The atmosphere sucked me in more than br2049.
Heavy themes in film were not explored to neatly end film at blockbuster length. For some reason, I can watch it again and again.

Set design excellent. Might get into sci-fi books after I get over this film. I'm trying to read 2067: a space odyssey by Arthur c Clarke

    Men of Honor

Carl Brashear is an absolute Hero. Cuba Gooding Jr was amazing. His wife was perfect. De Niro is underrated

Just finished Synecdoche, New York for the first time. Lot to take in here, really unlike anything I've seen before. Going to have to spend some time rewatching some of this to take it all in. I can tell this is going to sit with me for some time
