Watched “I’m thinking about ending things” last night and was deeply unsettled. Took me a while to figure out what was goin on. Great flick though first movie ive watched in a bit that i really had to think about
Some people hate it, some people think it's good. I'm somewhere in the middle.

Only part i didnt like was how obnoxiously overintellectual the couple’s car convos were but it makes perfect sense in the true context of the plot
Legend, the Tom Hardy movie about the Krays. Meh. Absolutely did not need to be two hours long.
It tried to do way too much and succeeded in nothing. The bar fight scene with hammers was great but the rest so unmemorable

Yeah, the bar fight felt like a fun Guy Ritchie movie and the rest was pretty paint-by-numbers.

Loved the trailer for this, found the movie really intriguing until I read what it was actually supposed to be about. Still want to see Synecdoche, NY, which seems like a better version of this kind of lonely single guy is lonely movie.

definitely more enjoyable before you "get" the plot, but arriving at the answer is fun as any heady movie i'd seen recently. there's a book right?
havnen't seen synecdoche either though my roommate told me it's one of his favorites

Yeah, it was a book. Not sure I want to read it since I enjoyed the style of the movie more than the actual story by the end but if you liked the movie overall it’s probably worth checking out.

As soon as they got to the school I lost interest. Still finished it though.

On god, I wanted to watch Locke too but I’m not sure after watching this. Hardy is nice but everything else was so painfully average.

The Gentlemen tho
The Lady from Shanghai
Finally an Orson Welles film I really enjoyed, that Irish accent though... and the mirror shots at the end were spectacular.

7.5-8/10
2nd half kicked into high gear, even though it was dense and hard to follow at times.
the rape scene was disturbing af
