Lady Snowblood (1973): 3.5/5
It's nice to see where Kill Bill came from

Black Box (2020): 2.5/5
This was cool, I really liked the acting and this is pretty much a really log Black Mirror episode.

Watermelon Man (1970): 3.5/5
Just watched My Neighbor Totoro; it was cute and the animation was great, but I don't find the "slice of life" style of storytelling to be all that engaging (felt the same way about Kiki's Delivery Service).
gun crazy
King of New York - Very weird. Well-made but horribly-written. Read that a lot of the dialogue was improvised and I’m not surprised.
Tumbbad - Worth checking out if you like horror/Indian movies.

I really liked the cinematography; definitely made me want to watch more Abel Ferrara movies. But the dialogue does not hold up whatsoever. It’s not even an issue of it being dated or anything, there are just a lot of bad, corny lines.

There's stuff to like about it. But this is more of me just thinking Christopher Nolan has his head shoved so far up his ass these days that he packs his films with a lot of nonsense and feels he can get away with it because people allow him to.
