Hunter Gatherer (2016): 3/5
This was interesting but it ended on a weird note.
Olympia (2018): 2.5/5
8/10, might have the hardest car chase I’ve ever seen tbh. Also, Willem Dafoe
currently watching A Clockwork Orange
movie's really good! the world is kinda absurd in a kafkaesque way
but this torture/therapy part is kinda hard to watch tbh
“True History of Kelly Gang” 8.5/10
What a film, the director made the 2015 version of macbeth with michael fassbender which i saw a while back and i was struck by his lighting and cinematography back then
It’s even more refined and punchy here, the atmosphere and concept design are crazy. The promo run for this movie made it seem like it be a basic film tbh. It’s like the new decade’s “assination of jesse james”
Highly recommend yall check it out on ASAP. Especially if you’re a nicolas refn fan

classic, s/o to robby muller da goat
7.5/10

It's a great film... acting is incredible.. 👍
I was gonna round it up to a 8/10 but idk... feel like I gotta rewatch it again a year or two from now

watching this tonite
rewatched wolf of wall street last night
thought i'd like it more this time, but its still just meh to me. its definitely entertaining for the its whole runtime but idk def feels like a lower tier marty
im not a big syfy movie geek but this a classic to me, remember watching it when it came out and going home amd spending hours looking up info bout it cause I thought it was real
I watched The Shining recently and i didn't like it, that part where Jack Nicholson and the old dude are calling the hotel guy a n1gger was a bit unnecessary, it didn't add any value to the movie
What did you think, it's on my watchlist
are you really asking a random guy on KTT what he thinks before you watch the film?
Issa Kubrick film bro

No shame in that, i've heard it a million times before (it was the case for myself too) that Kubrick films don't click on first watch but grow on them later on
If you haven't seen A Clockwork Orange go watch that one, probably the only Kubrick film that was a 10/10 for me on my first viewing already

Planning to watch Eyes Wide Shut soon. Am a massive Tom Cruise fan after watching collateral and rain man... war movies aren't really my thing bar a couple (Dunkirk, 1917). Gonna watch FMJ after

Maybe i'm just f***ed in the head but i didn't think that was hard to watch in the slightest. Moreso funny to me tbh
Like i said to someone else on here, if you already think THAT is bad don't ever try to come near Irréversible lmao
You will probably cry

A clockwork orange was pretty good, The bit with the cops from his past f***ed me up, that was hard and I never saw it coming

i've read about some of the stuff in that movie like a rape(?) scene and fire extinguisher beatdown(Might be another movie) scene, I like to smoke before watching movies
after watching the rape scene in perfect blue while high af I now check if the vibes aren't too dark before smoking and watching bc that s*** killed my vibe

War films aren't my thing either (i do love Dunkirk as well though and 1917 was one of my favs of last year) but the first half of Full Metal Jacket is more of a black comedy/thriller, second part is a straight up war film though
Eyes White Shut would be a good choice for you to watch as well, pretty accessible film. Not my fav because there is a lot of unwasted potential imo but still a necessary watch if you're trying to get into Kubrick
