Watched mean girls quite a few times trying to understand white girls for making songs towards certain demographic a entertainment/overtop level, Jennifers Body

  • The animation style is beautiful

    8.5/10

  • Rashomon

    7.5/10

The camera work was incredible, and the narration style inventive (especially the courthouse scenes)

A few over the top moments took me out tho, but still I highly recommend. Watching seven samurai next

It was fun. I'm not sure I agree with the message they tryna put out regarding Namarians action (got her name wrong) but I get it, it's a Disney movie, and everything wraps up in a magical bow, and I'm a cynical adult and this is a kids movie lol.

Thought it was pretty good, and also appreaciated the fact that this has no songs at all. It's tiring when Disney movies have songs all over the movie.

Also loved the voice acting for Raya and Sisu. Both killed it.

I honestly enjoyed this more than Pixar's Onward and Soul, even though Soul has some cool things like 22, I was kinda bored watching it.

Onward was pretty lame tbh, and Pixar movies are usually my s***, but I enjoyed Soul.
Remember when every 90s feature length animation from Disney had to have multiple songs in it? Fun times

And yeah, the voice acting in Raya is incredible. I actually laughed at the jokes, it's a pretty funny movie at times. The animation was fantastic but Disney always delivers in the visuals department so I didn't think I needed to mention that

Dope Meiko Kaji film, but the series this entry is in should've stayed a trilogy, I feel like as dope as it is, it's not as intense and meaningful as the first 3 movies. And it undermines some of the themes of the first 3.

Everything I wanted and more, deff flawed but still a dope entry in the trilogy of ZS' DC films.

Dope monster movie, I have my gripes but was fun watching.

Classic. In my opinion inspired and is the grandfather of films like The Driver, Thief, Ghost Dog & Drive.

    Tokyo! (2008)

a surreal anthology of three short films by Michel Gondry, Leos Carax, and Bong Joon Ho. all take place in Tokyo, but doesn't really capture or have much to do with the city. they were all entertaining but the Gondry one was my favorite because of the dialog and twist. didn't realize that the sewer creature from Carax's Holy Motors was introduced in this short film. very interesting character, though if I were Japanese I wouldn't like this depiction too much. the Bong film was very well done but kinda an loser fantasy which was a bit cringe. worth a watch if you're a fan of the directors, but I wish they had a Japanese filmmaker or gave Gaspar Noe a shot at this too.

    7/10

No disrespect to Joe but 22 saved Soul for me, I would have fallen asleep without him.

Onward, I thought it was gonna hit you in the feels at the end but nope.
