Almost at the end of Stranger Than Fiction and it's one of those movies that is NEAR masterpiece but doesn't hit that stretch.

BUT

It doesn't need to. The closeness at which it.almost reaches perfection doesn't take away from the story and given the subject matter and framing, it actually enhances the movie. It works in its favor. This is a beautiful film and it's simple. That simplicity that it perfects is so wonderful. Mirrors the setting and main character.

Definitely one of the gems of cinema.

P.s. the colors the movie uses are pretty great especially when Harold wears the red sweater contrasted with the background colors and the implication of "red shirts".

Did you catch Viy from 1967 yet? Craziest Russian s*** ever

not yet been thinkin about grabbing that eureka release for it actually

had a s***ty dvd for years and am definitely ready for an upgrade

i regret not getting the limited edition since I thought it was just a slip cover (which i f***ing hate) but apparently it was a 2 disc release with a bonus film

couldnt rec the film harder and especially if you can watch with a few people

Separation. 3/10. Terrible story and not scary at all, but nice visuals at time.
