6.5/10. Was dissappinted tbh. It's not bad but my expectations were high when I saw how highly rated it was. I have no idea why its rated so highly because it isnt all that

ok this was fire and enjoyable from start to finish. I thought the movie struck a near perfect balance between comedy and spy thriller. whole cast was great too. this is actually the first Billy Wilder film I've seen and it definitely has me excited to check out the rest of his work

    8.5/10

7.5/10. Really entertaining with some cool scenes. Not sure if I should watch the sequels though. I saw that the first one is the only one worth watching

The Gospel According to St. Matthew (1964)

    dir. Pier Paolo Pasolini

    Blue Collar (1978)

    dir. Paul Schrader

this actually worked surprisingly well as a double feature

I like Blue Collar's humour and quirkiness; yet I was impressed with how well it was still able able to come across as delivering a robust truth about American society etc in the industrial peak of Detroit.

St. Matthew was quite sensational especially in the second half, the first moments with the butchering of the babies almost made me not want to continue. But the acting and way in which Pasolini tells the story, made it worth staying around till the end. Also this might be my favourite film about Jesus alongside Ordet.
