Eyes Wide Shut was... Well I couldn't look away. I bet Kubrick wanted me to be sucked in and then throw that last line out there only to laugh at me

this was great
Best film I’ve seen from the year so far… and the director has another, even more acclaimed feature out 🤔
Metropolitan 1990

F***ing loved this movie. These mfers were all so (unintentionally) funny

I surfed the web for a d/l. It’s worth noting that the copy I had, while extremely watchable, wasn’t the absolute best. But it is an option. Another option would involve holding off for the blu ray release which is set for early January

Hmm, Ill probably wait for that. I saw the director say hes inspired by Cassavetes, did you see that in the film?

Hm the two directors that came to mind for me were Hirokazu Koreeda and Hong Sangsoo. I suppose I could see Cassavetes influence in the attention to conversation and ‘small moments’ - but while Cassavetes camera is oftentimes erratic imo, the visual style here is very restrained
The Big Lebowski
9/10
Very funny. Memorable characters
Just wait till you've seen it 43 times

All That Jazz is one hellova flick, was just telling a broski how it would be my go-to "musical"
