How is this compared to uncle boonmee, cus I’m interested but I didn’t like that movie that much

Hmm, I think this one is maybe even slower than that one, for better or worse. I think all his films improvise on the same moods and methods so I’d be surprised to find someone who disliked Boonmee but liked anything else.. but all the same, maybe his style would work for you this time.

The only thing missing from his formula for this one was the sensuality, which usually gives some warmth to latch onto- not to say this is a cold film, but the slowness might give that impression.

You don’t have to write anything but you do have to do the review/log not just rate

Fr everybody in that film is funny as hell, they be contradicting themselves and each other the whole movie, characters are some a******s but they still wholesome and likeable for some reason.

You actually peeped lmao Very weird film, not sure if i will call it slow rather it's just very unorthodox in terms of structure and it repeats itself a lot (the fact that it keeps repeating certain things ties in beautifully with the concepts going on though)

All in all a very cool bizarre film that mutates into something entirely else by the final act

yes brother what made it slow imo is that there are too many sword fights and some of them are just repeating themselves too much, other than that it was perfect

Yeah i feel you and it's fair criticism but those moments repeating was entirely the point and most def intentional on the directors end

    Belfast (2021)

Thought this would be really boring, but i actually enjoyed it. Got a couple laughs outta me too.

It's looking like this will probably win best picture and whilst its nowhere near that level for me, I wont be mad if it does

Arsenic and Old Lace - is Cary Grant the GOAT comedic leading man of the old Hollywood era? The man simply perfected the double take. One of the first and best dark comedies, 10/10 in every respect
