They broke me. I don't know how. But they managed to break me despite the fact that I'm a big believer in "plot doesn't matter" and "atmosphere > plot." Those mirrors shots were delightful though, so at least the movie had that going for it.

Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy - 4/10
I'm probably just expecting too much since Drive My Car was the first movie of his I watched, but none of the stories in Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy were as strong on an emotional level as Drive My Car was. Still love that Hamaguchi's ability to create believable, meaningful relationships between characters is in full display here though.
