Possessor
This is the 2nd movie I've seen by Brandon Cronenberg.
Liked it a lot, wish they did something more with the plot. It was an interesting concept but I felt most of the movie was quite predictable apart from that one thing at the end.
Felt like a Black Mirror episode with gore in it.
Also I realised I've become very desensitized to gore at this point and that s*** barely affected me.
Videodrome
Just wow. I need to watch both the father and son's entire catalogue.
This was insanely good, really stands out despite being one of the earliest of this style. I'm surprised I never heard of this movie before, feel like it deserves more respect among Sci-Fi/Horror fandom.

Cronenberg Canadian icon with nothing but bangers under his belt. What else have you seen by him?

Not him, but his son. Infinity Pool and Possessor. Infinity Pool def one of my favourite recent horrors along with Talk To Me.
I'm downloading Crash, The Dead Zone and The Fly rn though. Will probably watch over the next month.

I’d recommend history of violence, too. Strays from the body horror stuff but an amazing movie, personal favourite

Watch Dead Ringers and The Brood too
A History of Violence
3/5
It challenges the viewer on the nature of violence and why we're intrigued by it. Wasn't as engaging as I hoped.
Raw (2016)
Didn't like it as much as most people. I honestly don't get what people see in it, felt so basic to me.

lotta filmmakers trying to recapture the magic of Ginger Snaps out here
This s*** was so good. I even made a note to eventually learn about the dictatorship of South Korea since the political strife is pretty integral to the story.
