Great movie. 4.5/5. Interesting color palette. Outstanding performances and shots.

    Anyway,

I watched a couple movies lately, some not for the first time but classics never die.

    Prestige: 10/10,
I love it, can't ever get enough.

    Prisoner: 9/10,
Probably my favorite Villeneuve movie. I really love how the themes are also shared through simple visuals like the color palette and the look of the town. And obviously an amazing cast. Probably Jackman's best performance.

    Marrirage Story: 10/10,
I'm a big Adam Driver fan and he truly gave an incredible performance here. Even though I like Phoenix I think Driver deserves the Oscar but we all know Oscars don't have much to do with quality.

    Bad Boys for Life: 6.5/10
I was surprised by this one. I enjoyed the first 2 when I was a kid and I figured I might enjoy this one, be entertained enough. Well, I sure was enjoying my time and it was indeed entertaining. I expected a 4-5 movie but it was a 6.5 in my opinion.

    Contagion: 8/10,
Still holds up today. It is such a realist movie. I like how nobody is perfect or completely stupid either. They're just flawed people.

    The King: 7.5/10
I finally got around to watching this quite accurate and interesting movie on Henry V and it didn't disappoint. Both Timothée Chalamet and Robert Pattinson are showing off their skills in this. I wasn't big on Chalamet before this movie but now I'm excited to see that he's going to be in Dune.

    Gretel & Hansel (2020)
    6/10
Anytime a dark fantasy film that isn’t gimmicky or part of mainstream franchise gets a theatrical release imma be there. Gretel & Hansel is an unapologetically straight forward fantasy film that doesn’t try to cater to audiences with modern references or a heavy-handed message that translates to the real world. This makes the film appealing, but it’s storytelling and simplicity is also its biggest flaw.

Excellent from a visual standpoint in both its environment and character design, but that ends up being the most interesting part of the film. This is a story everybody knows, yet the film takes it time to meander through the story which starts out as endearing, but quickly becomes boring midway through the film when it feels like things are stretched out just to reach feature length.

Not bad, just surprisingly not all that interesting.

    Red Dawn (1984)
    7/10

Still as corny and far-fetched as ever. It’s got a great cast of 80’s stars and it’s full of fun moments. Just leave your brain at the door.

    Marriage Story

Made me cry like a b****

This movie feels too real man like, I can't even take sides I like both of the characters and I'm frustrated for every one of them, it's so sad and I got totally invested in it, even the subtle displays of emotion the director put in there, incredible movie
