Both as good if not better than I remember
Mi Vida Loca
8/10

loved it. also crazy that spike jonze was one of the white crackheads in this movie.
Frozen 2 - Heat. Liked it more than the original. Elsa
Tangled - Too early to call this a classic?

Sunflower
10/10
Probably the best Korean film I’ve seen, behind memories of murder and the man from nowhere
Live-action Tekken movie from 2009. Not good but still a little better than I was expecting? Running Man meets Mortal Kombat, with an old-school video game movie feel reminiscent of Super Mario Bros. or Double Dragon.

I watched The Seventh Seal the other night, and I still don't know what I'd rate it lmao... visually fantastic and I haven't really unpacked all the themes yet but I enjoy art about struggling with spirituality so I'm looking forward to getting deeper into it. Only things I didn't really like were the more theatre-like elements, like absurd comic relief characters and "asides" where the characters kind of talk to themselves or someone else in a large crowd and no one hears them.
Idk how much Bergman you’ve seen, but the theatrical really supplies the heart of his cinema imo –
it usually functions as a sincere, metacinematic call to the magic of art, and by extension, life itself, which balances w the more oppressive/existential themes that his plots tend to follow (and Seventh Seal is no stranger here).
Glad you overall liked it, I had a similar response on first watch I think. The theatrical was hard to take seriously, but now I appreciate it a lot
Finally watched the Rise of Skywalker and it was trash fr. I guess it's hard to focus on something so action packed when they didn't get the previous 2 movies right so you literally don't care about any of the characters.
Whole story was a convoluted mess. A lot of illogical or lame plots and that ending was horrible. Glad it didn't do well at the box office, it didn't deserve to.

Quarantine Mode
So far I’ve watched memento and blue jasmine today. Memento was cool, wasn’t paying full attention so I was kind of lost but it was good. Blue jasmine sucks
