alright I didn't wanna be insentive but f*** it
are white gamers being toxic again? or is there an issue with the game itself

It’s gotten to that toxic stupid ass point where you just gotta experience it and see for yourself
game of thrones, Star Wars 8-9, TLOU2

From what I can gage, it’s a lot of column A but still balanced and genuine examples of Column B

Why are gamers/nerds so conservative?
what u mean
Like the angry vocal fans are so loud with baseless arguments that have played the game and also haven’t even played the game because it has gay characters
There’s balanced and good arguments that it sucks writing wise and gameplay wise from people who have played the game and haven’t played the game
There is blind love and praise from people who have played the game and haven’t played the game
It’s just impossible to really get a good review or impression. All we know is that it’s divisive
Why are gamers/nerds so conservative?
Lack of social interaction/ only know people similar to them
Why are gamers/nerds so conservative?
Please don't tell me this is some "they made ariel black" type s***

The game is a divided mess and I can't recommend it not because it is bad but because I don't know how someone can react to what it has in store. A divisive masterpiece to some and a mess that should have stayed as a draft to others.
ND on a technical aspect though, is at their prime right here. Gameplay wise and little moments will be there, rest assured

alright, this is a great comment
I barely ever spend that kind of money on a game.
So I guess I dodged a bullet.

I think it’s 50/50
Half of people wanted a different type of story
Half of people are snowflakes triggered because “any game with a gay or trans character must be the liberals trying to force their agenda on us”
But that’s just those that are outraged
A lot of people are loving the game.

The game itself is worth 60 bucks because the effort and time spent on the world and models are impeccable. The story will sway you one side or the other and I just wished some events happened later and others sooner.
I don't regret the purchase, I don't regret the 60 bucks and I loathe the leaks not because it made the game bad but we really have people hating and chasing clout without playing the game and thinks that's cool.
Then there are others saying 60 bucks for gotd.
like 70% of the negative reactions are based on scenes / information people have seen out of context, it's a pretty brave game that asks you to empathize with someone you don't initially have much of a connection to, a person that also brutally murders the main character of the first game
people are also offended because they think a playable character is trans (she's not)
or because ellie is gay (anyone that liked the first game would already know that)
there's a lot of genuine criticism but it's being drowned out by transphobia and stupidity, it's a mess but the developers would've anticipated it. it's a game designed to make people upset and left feeling unsatisfied. videogames are a young medium where questions of what a videogame can and should be are still argued about, it's a lot to ask someone to pay $60 for a game and then spend 30+ hours with said game AND at the end leave you feeling empty. we wanna have fun, which i get, but idk, there's room for more, it's usually just reserved for indie games.
