    Love this. I agree!!!!

Man I think about s*** like this all the time

I find it's very easy for life to knock us to our knees, because existence IS suffering (especially the smaller the world becomes), but the potential humanity has for greatness, for love, might just be the most beautiful thing I can possibly imagine.

Honestly, to me, our existence is nothing less than mindbending. How can something be so beautiful, so ugly, so cruel, so inspirational

None of this s*** matters. We're not even alive that long. Just make the most of it. Sounds like some corny s*** but it's true

I don’t think length determines if something matters. I think this matters very much.

All this life s***. There's no deeper meaning. And I take it all too seriously sometimes. You're just another animal on earth, we just have extra tools. We get to do some extra s*** other animals don't get to do. But and the end of the day you're just gonna live a small amount of time and die like every other living thing has for millions of years. So just do what you wanna do while you're still alive

I mean it matters in the sense that you should live our short time to the maximum you can and not waste any time on stuff you don't care about if possible. But we're insignificant relative to the rest of the universe and the rest of millions of years of human existence. But that's kind of nice in a way, to know that all that matters is the little things. And not to take things too seriously

I always kinda scoff at the "nothing matters" camp––like yeah we're very far past the point of the narrative that life has a singular, grand, all-encompassing "meaning." So the question becomes, what makes my individual life purposeful?

For me, what makes life meaningful is forming close relationships, cultivating empathy, feeling love, finding ways to express yourself and your humanity, and the quest for happiness, as cliché as that is. That's what "matters" to me, personally. I mean those are more or less tangible sources of purpose imo, instead of the belief in some higher power (although I don't discredit faith as a mode of meaning-making).

I 100% agree. Those are the exact things I believe truly matter in your own life too. I mean I think things don't matter in the grand scheme of things, but things in my individual life matter tons to me specifically. And I think that's good. Since I'm only here so long, and only once, I'm going to make an effort to love, form close relationships, express myself etc

Maybe but we aren’t significant in the fact that our actions shape the future whether we want to or not, or no matter how insignificant we as an individual seem. We will affect something and as a whole even greater. We’ll be remembered and talked about for what we accomplished, failed etc. we’ll always be in tune with things here tho it may not seem like it. That’s still insignificant in some peoples perspective and I can’t change that, but I see it as a reason to be the best we can
