I might be the only one who feels this way but I really don't want or need an album this year. Between DLDT, features and the leaks, we've gotten way over 20 songs this year already and for all we know, more features are on the way.

I think he should do (what I feel is) the smart thing and push like 3 singles over the next 7 months to give his album legs and then drop the album in like March next year so it runs the year.

An album being ready doesn't mean he needs to drop it right away. He can use the time after the album is done to write for other people or even start work on another project.

I don't see how he drops an album this year and it doesn't underperform, both in it's debut week and overtime (with streams). Every Drake fan is just desperate for new music for some odd reason (which is weird because there's no fanbase that's as spoiled with new music as Drake's fanbase), but no album released in this climate will have the right longevity because the singles won't be received and consumed the right way.
