    10 am start is interesting

Would you be able to do say 8-3?

I've tried but they're very strict about those hours. The firm tends to mirror the hours of another pillar of the industry I work in so I think it's because that's when they tend to work

worth at least applying to law school a shot if you did well in undergrad and/or think you could do well on lsat. free rides aren't as hard to come by as people would have you think.

More info on attaining free rides, how’d you score on the LSAT? Undergrad i graduated w honors, LSAT jus shook me up

so i was the reverse of you. got 166 on lsat and did pretty poorly in undergrad (like 3.01) and wound up with a 65% scholarship to what was a T50 school when i applied. my friends who had 3.5s and above in undergrad got full rides for the most part except for one rich white kid.

if you can score a 160 on the lsat you can probably get a full ride to a solid amount of good schools. i know we s*** on reddit but r/lawschooladmissions and r/lsat are great resources for learning more about what schools you would have a chance of getting a full ride at with certain stats. only disclaimer is that applying is expensive in itself but a lot of schools will give stipends for those as well.

Nah I went in house right away then moved to my current firm because I kind of pigeonholed myself with the internships I took in school the firm I'm at now works in that area as well but I'm trying to move to a big law firm to do ecvc stuff once the market gets less s***ty. My boutique is chill tho. Desirable field (I'm just not interested in it anymore), chill atmosphere, 10-5 and barely ever any evening/weekend work

ecvc at big firms is pretty great i heard. sounds like you got a good gig right now though. you mind me asking what practice area you've been working on at boutique firm?

It's cool getting to help put together projects but honestly I think a lot of the excitement is lost on me because when I went into entertainment I wanted to do music as opposed to film and tv lol. But definitely opens up the opportunity to meet a lot of cool people and go to some dope events

But if you're looking to do entertainment law there are def a few schools/ areas you want to be located in more than others, preferably you wanna go to school in LA (what I did) or NY

i believe my friends with full rides scored in the 160-165 range. from what i was seeing during my application cycle, anything over a 160 with a strong undergrad gpa is good enough to get you a full ride to some very respectable schools. so i would say initially aim for 160+ and if you are practicing in that range relatively quickly (like within 2 months of studying) try to get around a 165.

lsd.law has some scholarship data as well for certain statistics. spivey consulting is a pretty good free admissions resource as well. i also highly recommend 7sage if you can afford to shell out $70/month on it since it has every practice test on file and good video lessons.

i also recommend the powerscore books and "the loophole" for logical reasoning section. feel free to pm me if you need any help at all

I can see it being used as an aid and a tool but not a replacement

    Just like the medical field

At least not a replacement any time realitively soon

Only thing AI gonna replace and already has started so in the near future is things to do strictly with writing and numbers such as accounting, profit tracking & job plan of the week summaries for buisness meetings etc.

Fairly simple s*** like that which doesnt require any context nor additional/abstract thinking
