MEETING PEOPLE IS EASY a film by GRANT GEE. 1998, USA, 99 min. SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL. A backstage scrapbook of the media frenzy on Radiohead’s OK Computer tour. IN COLLABORATION WITH XL RECORDINGS.

In airport escalators and packed arenas, Meeting People Is Easy takes us behind the scenes of Radiohead’s international breakthrough, the world tour for their acclaimed 1997 album OK Computer. Since forming in boarding school in the mid-’80s, the English band has created an electronic-acoustic sound that’s constantly evolving but always its own, with soulful songwriting and energetic live arrangements. Filmmaker Grant Gee, also known for his 2007 Joy Division documentary, watches the group grapple with an odd absurdity: skyrocketing to fame because of a record that skewers mindless consumerism.

Standing on the Corner film "THE SWEET ATMOSPHERE PHASED AT 120º AND WENT BLANK! WHEN THE UNIVERSE COLLAPSED" narrated by Terence Nance and w/ Earl + Solange cameos streaming now this used to be a super rare gem because it was only streamed online twice. One dude on rym was one of like 6 people who won a DVD copy and uploaded it, that was the only way to see it until now

Amazing audio journey as is to be expected, feels like a sort of deranged radio. Already loved the audio rip we had for like 2 years, it becomes seriously trippy paired with the visuals tho

At least that we know of, maybe some more sold or given away locally or at shows. That dude won it at a show through a lottery. But online there were only 5 copies, going for $150

    Peep op

Edit: if u don't know SOTC they're an experimental band / leader Gio and former member Slauson do crazy cerebral sound collage s***.

Gio was a close collaborator of Earl's on SRS and of Solange on When I Get Home (also, they're a couple now), produced for Danny Brown... Highkey one of the most interesting artists out atm
