There’s stuff with a better protein to calorie ratio but you can’t really hate on them for the price

foundational food. one of the best in the game for sure
hummus the absolutely goated legume paste
learning to make hummus helped me learn you can just swap some ingredients and you could get the same result with different flavors
I replaced chickpeas with green peas and tahini paste with pumpkin butter, added some more green stuff like basil and parsley and green onion, plus other condiments like turmeric, lemongrass, ras-el-hanout and it’s the best s*** I ever eaten!
the possibilities are infinite
plate that paste with some fresh salad and chicken breast or some sausages, boiled egg and some fresh pitas and man you got heavenly healthy food
think imma make some red lentil dahl this week along with some hummus
gon stop by the native market n get some fry bread too

I never f***ed with chickpeas until I had them oven roasted
they're also real nice fried up in a little oil with some spices, toss some fresh herbs like parsley and thyme on there as you turn off the heat and then plate up perfection. i be crackin open a can of chickpeas every few days bcoz i use the aquafaba in my cocktails for foam instead of egg white. i love when i gotta open a new can, they're the perfect after work snack to enjoy on the porch
