didn’t Drip Too Hard peak at #2?

Lil Baby has 5 top 10 hits.

    1. The Bigger Picture (peaked at #3)
    2. Drip Harder (peaked at #4).
    3. Yes Indeed (peaked at #6).
    4. For the Night (peaked at #6).
    5. We Paid (peaked at #10).

Wants and Needs will give him his highest-charting top 10 hit yet (projected to debut at #2).

Bro panda went number one. Not really impressed.

Panda wasn't over a soul loop, with no hook, and 6 minutes of straight rapping

This is good for Drake, hip hop in general I’m not so sure about that. I don’t think there will another artist on the same level as Drake after him. Drake isn’t “passing the torch” to anybody, like how Wayne did with him.

These songs aren’t even that good if they can debut #1 #2 #3 that is not a good sign for the future of the charts at all lol

If you got all the number ones of last year these 3 songs would all be top 5 best. Haven’t you seen what trash theres been on top the charts the last years?

  • Mar 15, 2021

ok that's hard as bricks. Doing top 3 with loosies is legendary.

The fact that a rap song that was just straight bars in 2021 is top 3 is great fir the genre whether you are a fan on the man drake or not.

I want to see it that way but I don’t. Drake is so far ahead of everyone else in the genre (in terms of popularity) that he may be the only one to release a song like that and chart in top 3.

Regardless of someone being able to fill his shoes down the line, him sharing his success and audience with artists like Rick Ross and Lil Baby is a good message overall....Drake, Rozay and Baby charting and eating off of straight up rap tracks is good for hip hop.

It’s not good for hip hop if Lil Baby or Rozay can’t do that on their own. The placement is nice don’t get me wrong but they can’t depend on Drake (mostly talking about Rozay here) to chart every time. Has Drake really endorsed someone like Wayne did with him? All I’m saying Drake really isn’t looking out for “hip hop”, he’s doing it because he can.

Wayne was already slowing down when he passed the torch and had some…questionable releases to say the least.

Drake seems to have a far better grasp on his image and quality control, as well as being aware of how the machine and internet works. Can’t see him ever passing the torch but rather becoming an elder stateman of the game like Hov
