Apr 24, 2021CLB PRADAWould’ve thought she dropped Magdalene the way this album is praised. Most overrated artist of our time & it’s not even close.
Her and her work is pretty polarizing in general.. the ‘outlandish’ praise that you perceive as extreme from fans/critics are juxtaposed with undermining sentiments from ppl that discredit her work just because they don’t like/relate to her music/style or just responding to other’s adoration and they ‘not getting it’.. especially male dominated forums like this one and others like Reddit even others like Facebook spout negative connotations about her art with no basis in any objective thought other than they think she’s overrated trash.. there’s hardly ever a balanced view when it comes to artists of her stature.. just extremes.. ppl are either ‘artist of my life’ ala Adele or Kid Rock ‘biggest thing on earth because she’s hot’.
..being a Drake Stan you should be able to relate to what I’m saying.. I’ve seen my fair share of hyperbole concerning albums like Take Care and Nothing Was Ever The Same from stans and other artists alike.
